Are Restless Legs keeping you up at night?
Restless Legs Syndrome, or RLS, is characterized by:
- Discomfort or pain in your legs, which worsens when at rest
- A strong urge to move your legs for relief
- Itching, creepy-crawly feeling, pulling or tugging inside your legs
If you have been diagnosed with RLS or have symptoms of RLS, you may qualify to take part in a research study. Research will include free investigational medication and study visits with a specialist and there will be no cost for you to join.
Please answer the following questions to see if you may qualify to take part in the RLS Sleep Study:
1. Are you 18 to 65 years of age?
2. Have you had RLS symptoms for at least 6 months?
3. Do you experience RLS symptoms primarily in the evening, i.e., 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.?
4. Do these RLS symptoms disrupt your sleep?
5. Are you employed in shift work (for example, such as nighttime or variable rotating shifts)?
6. Do you currently use tobacco products?
7. This study is a 5–6 month long study with approximately 13 visits to the study office as well as overnight observations in a sleep lab. Are you willing to perform the necessary procedures required by this study, such as attending scheduled visits, following a study treatment plan, getting laboratory testing, and other study procedures?
